Dr Hartl focuses on corporate law, where she predominantly advises and represents privately held medium-sized companies, but also family-owned companies and foundations in legal matters. She supports our clients in the establishment of companies, but also in the area of commercial financing, in the context of board meetings and in the settlement of disputes and conflicts.
Furthermore, Dr Hartl has particular expertise in the area of inheritance law, especially in the law of asset succession.
Dr Hartl studied law at the universities of Würzburg, Lausanne, Geneva and Göttingen, where she eventually obtained her doctorate. This was followed by an LL.M. degree at the University of California at Berkeley. After her return to Germany, she completed her legal clerkship, including a period at the German-French Chamber of Commerce in Paris, and then worked as a legal assistant at the Research Centre for Medical and Pharmaceutical law at the University of Göttingen. Afterwards she worked as an Academic Counsel at the Department of Commercial Law, International Private Law and Comparative Law at the University of Göttingen until she was admitted to the bar in 1989.
Dr Hartl began her legal career at a medium-sized commercial law firm in Munich where she was a partner (shareholder) for many years. In 2014, Dr Hartl joined ENDEMANN.SCHMIDT as a co-founder, where she has been advising our clients on company law and inheritance law matters as Of Counsel ever since.
